More than 1,725 students have been named to the Fall 2017 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

The Cedar Crest College Health Professions Society works to provide an awareness of the health professions through education. Members seek to promote awareness among its membership and within the community. The group's existence is based on the principle of service. The purpose of the Great Outdoor Club (GO Club) is to provide organized trips for students centering on the outdoors. Events include camping, hiking, rock climbing and canoe trips. Gamma Sigma Epsilon (GSE) is a national chemistry honor society founded in 1919 at Davidson College. The purpose of Gamma Sigma Epsilon, as summed up by one of its founding fathers, Malcolm Ray Doubles, was to unite those with a high scholastic grade in Chemistry, in Class A colleges, in order to foster a more comprehensive and cooperative study of that great branch of Science and its immediately allied studies. Today, there are over forty active chapters throughout the United States. Rho Xi, the chapter at Cedar Crest College, was established in 2011. GSE recognizes outstanding students demonstrating exceptional ability and interest in the field of chemistry. It also aims to promote professionalism and scholarship in chemistry and the general welfare of its members. 2017-18 Cedar Crest College Gamma Sigma Epsilon officers are: President - Susanna Ogozaly; Vice President - Amanda Childs; Secretary - Sarah Lighthart; Treasurer - Victoria Ngo; Sergeant-At-Arms - Shannon McGee; Advisor - Lindsey Welch.

A total of 419 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at the Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 16 at 9:45 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. There will be 325 bachelor's degrees, 66 master's degrees and one doctoral degree awarded.

The Cedar Crest College Forensic Science Student Organization acquaints students with the field of Forensic Science. The group brings speakers to the annual Cedar Crest College Forensic Science Symposium and plans other events on specific topics for interested students. Areas of special interest include opportunities for attendance at professional meetings, conferences and workshops and information on internships, graduate school and employment in the field. 2017-18 Forensic Science Student Organization officers are: President - Kristen Payes; Vice President - Gabrielle DiPaola; Secretary - Martha Arredondo; Treasurer - Victoria Ngo; Symposium Chair - Emily Dianese; Advisor - Janine Kishbaugh.

Delta Delta Epsilon is an international honor society that is dedicated to stimulating academic achievement, promoting community understanding, and advancing the fields of forensic science wherever possible. Buskin is a theatrical society for those interested in what goes on behind the scenes. Membership is achieved through volunteer work both on the construction crew and backstage production crew. Buskin is open to anyone who is interested in the theater and willing to work. Buskin activities include special effects, lighting, sound, design, stage management, scenic artistry, costumes, props, set construction, trips to other productions (both local and on-Broadway), and the presentation of one-act plays (in association with Alpha Psi Omega). More than 100 Lebanon Valley College students attended the College's seventh annual Leadership Conference on November 5. This year's theme was "People, Purpose, Passion."

Alpha Psi Omega is the national honorary drama fraternity. Members are inducted at a formal ceremony, and their names are listed in the Alpha Psi Omega National Directory. Candidacy depends upon excellence in some area of dramatic production, such as design, directing, stage management or stage performance, and completion of a series of theatre-oriented tasks. Charlotte's Web, a full length play adapted from the book by E.B. White, by Joseph Robinette was performed at Cedar Crest College on November 2, 4 and 5, 2017. The play was produced by special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

Freshmen at Wilkes University were elected to serve the Wilkes community as members of the student government. Student Government is the major decision- and policy-making organization for the student body at Wilkes University, providing student input on University policy and governing extracurricular life at Wilkes. These students are asked to represent the entire student body, acting as a liaison between the students and administration. They plan and coordinate activities on campus, and promote fellowship, scholarship, and the name of Wilkes University.

In Commencement exercises on May 16, 2017, FDU conferred more than 3,000 degrees, ranging from associates to doctorates, on graduates, at MetLife Stadium.

The undergraduate Class of 2021 and the MSOT class of 2022 arrived at Alvernia University Aug. 17, and took part in service projects around the City of Reading for Orientation Day of Service Aug. 18.

Admissions Ambassadors are an extension of the college's Traditional Undergraduate Admissions Office. Ambassadors educate, engage, and communicate with prospective students and their families about the many opportunities Cedar Crest has to offer through campus tours and admissions events. Student Ambassadors assist the Admissions Office in recruiting the next generation of Cedar Crest women.

Alvernia is proud to welcome new students to its undergraduate population of 3,000 scholars studying more than 50 different majors at the university.

Resident Assistants (RA) and Resident Mentors (RM) are key members of the Residence Life staff. An RA oversees a floor or wing in a residence hall, serving as a resource for residential students and providing a residential environment conducive to the overall development of students. Both RA and RM roles encompass programming, administrative, and student development responsibilities.

Wilkes University welcomes over 600 students into the class of 2021.

Nursing students are eligible for membership in the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing if, at the end of the junior year when they have completed 50% of the nursing curriculum, they have a grade point average of 3.0 or better, are in the upper 35% of their nursing class and have demonstrated academic integrity and professional leadership potential.

Wilkes University Provost Dr. Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the Spring 2017 Semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.
