Muhlenberg College is pleased to welcome the newest members of our community, including first year students, new transfer students and new School of Continuing Studies students, for the 2020-2021 academic year.

During summer 2019, undergraduate students at Wilkes University engaged in research. Working with faculty on meaningful research is one of the hallmarks of a Wilkes education. Students at Wilkes have all of the educational opportunities of a large university in the mentoring culture of a small college.

High-level academic and athletic performance continues to serve as a staple of Kutztown University. On Tuesday, July 9, 174 Golden Bear student-athletes were named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2018-19 academic year. Kutztown produced a school-record 181 honorees last year and valiantly backed that number up this year with its second-highest total ever. More than 100 Golden Bear student-athletes have earned PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition in each of the last 13 years. Student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher at the completion of the most recent academic year to be eligible for PSAC Scholar-Athlete status. The PSAC's 18 institutions combined to produce 3,061 Scholar-Athletes, totaling 42% of the student-athlete population. Both numbers break previous conference records of 2,934 and 41% set just one year ago. The league has registered better than a 30% rate for 10 straight years. From Kutztown, 127 female student-athletes were honored, more than 61% of the female varsity student-athlete population. Just under 25% of the Golden Bear male student-athlete population qualified for Scholar-Athlete status with 51 honorees.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees for nearly 1,300 students for the Spring 2019 semester. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees following the spring 2019 semester. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. Students listed multiple times have been awarded more than one degree.

Students have been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester.

Wilkes University Senior Vice President and Provost Anne Skleder announced the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, students must obtain a minimum 3.5 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.

A total of 1,520 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Spring 2019 semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

Moravian College named 745 students to the Dean's Honor List for the Spring 2019 semester. Students who carry three or more course units during the fall or spring term and attain a GPA for the term of 3.50 or higher are placed on the Dean's Honor List. On Saturday, June 1, 2019, Exercise Science research students Ashley Heffelfinger, Alyssa Feher, and Emily DeDonna, working with Dr. Dianne Babbitt, presented their research, "Validation of a Cycle Ergometer Protocol in the Prediction of VO2 in a poster format" at the American College of Sports Medicine National Meeting in Orlando, FL. The initial research subjects consisted of 12 Cedar Crest College female students. Data collection continued over the course of the academic year to include 40 female and male subjects representing a variety of ages. The research abstract was published in the premiere exercise science professional journal, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise. Other Exercise Science research students who contributed to the overall project included Alissa Rusbarsky and Cassidy Barrett.

Nearly 200 Lebanon Valley College student-athletes have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll. The academic honor roll is comprised of student-athletes who compete in a varsity-level sport and registered a term/semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher.

Nealry1,950 high-achieving students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester at Northampton Community College. The honor is reserved for students who have completed a minimum of 6 credits and achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in the Spring 2019 semester.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania congratulates the nearly 1,900 students who were named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List. A full-time student whose semester GPA is 3.5 or higher in 12 or more semester hours of course work for which a grade or grades are received will be named to the deans' list.

Lebanon Valley College recognized more than 200 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen spring athletic teams.

On May 23, 2019, a total of 794 graduates received associate degrees, specialized diplomas, and certificates from Northampton Community College (NCC) at the Spring Commencement ceremony.

Cedar Crest College celebrated the Class of 2019 at its 149th annual Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 11. The ceremony was held at the PPL Center in downtown Allentown.

Slippery Rock University has announced its dean's list for the spring 2019 semester. The dean's list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

Lebanon Valley College congratulates more than 650 students named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

Sixty-seven Muhlenberg College student-athletes were recognized for their performance in the classroom and on the field, court, track and course with their selection to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2019 season.

Nineteen students worked together toward the success of VALE Music Group this year which included planning the VALE Conference in the fall semester and signing the new VALE Artist in the spring semester.

Seventeen students in Wilkes University's Nesbitt School of Pharmacy received academic awards.

Northampton Community College is excited to welcome new and returning students to campus for the Summer 1 2019 semester.

Wilkes University awarded 797 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at its 72nd spring commencement ceremonies on May 18.

More than 1,750 students have been named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List at Kutztown University. To be eligible for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

The Dean's List recognizes students who have earned a grade point average of 3.65 or higher in the academic semester.

A total of 1,187 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at separate commencement exercises for undergraduate and graduate students on May 10 and May 11. ESU will hold three graduation ceremonies: one for graduate students on Friday, May 10 at 6:45 p.m. and two ceremonies for undergraduate students on Saturday, May 11. The undergraduate ceremonies will take place at 8:45 a.m. (College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education) and at 1:15 p.m. (College of Business and Management and College of Health Sciences). All three ceremonies will be held in Koehler Fieldhouse. A total of 995 bachelor's degrees, 188 master's degrees and four doctoral degrees will be awarded.

Lebanon Valley College recognized 13 students for their commitment to fellow students, diversity, and inclusion. These students provided direct and dedicated peer support to ALANA (African/African American, Latina, Asian and Native American), Multicultural Fellowship, Lebanon Valley Educational Partnership, international, and LGBTQ+ identifying students.

The Kutztown University Department of Mathematics inducted 13 students into Kappa Mu Epsilon, a national mathematics honor society, at its induction ceremony on Friday, May 3. Kappa Mu Epsilon is a specialized honor society in Mathematics. KME was founded in 1931 to promote the interest of mathematics among undergraduate students. Its chapters are located in colleges and universities of recognized standing which offer a strong mathematics major. The chapters' members are selected from students of mathematics and other closely related fields who have maintained standards of scholarship, have professional merit, and have attained academic distinction. Both men and women are eligible for membership. To qualify for membership, a student: - Must have completed at least three semesters of college-level mathematics; - Must have completed at least three mathematics courses at the MAT 181 level or above; - Must have an overall GPA at Kutztown University of at least 0; and, - Must have a GPA for all the mathematics courses above MAT 181 taken (at KU) of at least 3.0.
